The nesting season runs from May 1st to December 15th, and there’s always room for local hands who want to join in with daily shifts alongside our team. Our patrols keep raccoons in the area from preying on nests and attacking turtles and their hatchlings. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?¿QUÉ TENGO QUE LLEVAR?
A red-light flashlight (if you can get one, that would be ideal). Its use is required. We have a few available to borrow for the first 3 volunteers who arrive. You can also buy one at camp for $400 MXN (not required).Linterna con luz roja (si la puedes conseguir, sería ideal). Su uso es indispensable. Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting sandy, black or dark-colored (no light colors, patterns, or reflective material). We recommend wearing pants to avoid discomfort on your knees.Ropa cómoda que puedas ensuciar con arena de color negro u oscuro (sin colores claros, estampados ni reflejantes). Te recomendamos llevar pantalón, para evitar molestia en las rodillas.
